FAQ’S

  • Taos is a hard place to get to… The only way to get to Taos is by car. Santa Fe Regional Airport is 1.5 hrs away. Albuquerque Sunport is 2.5 hrs away. Please reach out to Toni or Camille with any travel questions.

  • There are a number of nice hotels in Taos, but some of them can be pricey. We have compiled a list of recommendations below. Airbnb’s are a great option, especially if you are traveling in a group! When looking for Airbnb’s, be sure that the location is not too far outside of town. Feel free to send any Airbnb listings to Toni or Camille to look over if you are unsure!

  • Formal wester means formal attire with a western flare. Colorful dresses, boots and bolos ties are encouraged!

  • The venue is both indoor and outdoor.

  • Normally August is hot! It can be 80-90 degrees but it will cool down at night. There can be thunder storms in the afternoon.

  • We love going to Jon Dunn Bridge and Pilar to swim and paddleboard in the Rio Grande. We love hiking the Rift Valley trails, trails in the Ski Valley, and trails in Taos Canyon. We also love indulging in the great food & drink scene in Taos. Take a look at our recommendations below!

  • The town of Taos is at 7,000’ elevation. If you are coming from a lower elevation, be sure to stay extra hydrated!
